I hated the blackberry curve. When I saw it 1 year ago I thought it was the most beautiful blackberry to every be produced. It looked so functional. It had a camera. All I could think was: law school and wedding planning all on one device.
It was functional. Many people really love the blackberry curve, but not I. My emails would get stuck, block the whole system and the phone would stop working. It was clunky, sometimes it couldn't/wouldn't function as I wanted it too, as it should function. Over all my experience was pretty crappy.
It didn't help that T-mobile was the bane of my existance. I live in Boston, a major market for T-mobile. I go to school in Boston, my family is in Boston, the fiancee's family is in Boston, all most all my friends are in Boston, I work two jobs in Boston and because I am broke I rarely leave Boston. Putting 2 and 2 together it would seem I should have stellar service at all times. I didn't. In my home I had no bars. Even when I would have full service, say driving from southie into Roxbury I would drop a call 5 or 6 times. WHAT THE HECK WAS I PAYING FOR. T-mobile was rude and unhelpful.
unhelpful tmobile dick #1: "It says here you have 5 bars in your house"me: "I don't"unhelpful tmobile dick #1: "uhhh yea you do"me: "uuuuh no I am looking at my phone right now. I have one"unhelpful tmobile dick #1: "do you live 500 feet underground or something?"What I didn't say: "Yes, I am a mole person you asshole. Thanks for the help."
Or they lied. I had a woman tell me she fixed my cellphone problem. When I called back it turns out she put aol instant messager on my phone. LIKE I FREAKIN' WANT THAT. All I want is to be able to make a phone call with out dropping it more than twice. I want people to call me and my phone actually ring not have it ring on thier end but go straight to voicemail on mine. I want my txt messages to get sent when I send them not tell me they are sent and disappear into the ether. Basically for 100 bucks a month I want my damn phone to work.
So I filed a complaint with the FCC and when I get hit with 400 bucks Ill file a complaint with the AG's office, the chamber of commerce and the BBB. Why do I have to keep up my end of the contract when they were so clearly not keeping up theirs?
I'm with Verizon now, who I love. I only left verizon to save $$$. Although t-mobile was cheaper, I was paying for nothing so in reality it was not. I got the enV touch and the fiancee got the enV3. We decided a touch screen phone on a construction site seemed like a bad idea. Way back when, ya know circa 2007, we both had the enV original and we loved it. It was such a great phone. Yea, it had its bugs but in my opinion the way the phone worked made up for the bugs. But I lost it, couldnt afford to replace it, and realized even with the ETF it was cheaper to go to t-mobile. Yea... clearly I was wrong 2 ETFS in 2 years? Not cool. (Unless all my bitching pays off).
So far I highly endorse the enV touch. It works just like the enV. Any complaint I had had seems to have been worked out in the enV2. The touch works wonderful the two screens are brilliant. I think the iphone is gorgeous but I don't like touch screen all the time. I am klutzy and clunky. The Although the phone is so cool I can't text on it for the life of me. The enV touch has a real keyboard inside. I love that. I can use the full touch keyboard or I can bang it out on the inside (which in my opinion is more reliable).
Moral of the story? T-mobile sucks and the enV touch is awesome.
